Outdoor activities abound here in the Quad City area. Five area lakes within 10 miles of downtown Prescott provide boating and fishing. The Prescott National Forest, which surrounds the city on three sides, contains hiking trails and other outdoor recreational opportunities.
At a mile high, Prescott has a very mild climate, but yet has all four seasons. From wonderful spring time when all the trees come back to life to a colorful fall, and an enjoyable winter season.
